Jackalope

This was my contribution to a holiday gift exchange in LAIKA’s model shop. Everyone got a resin-cast baby doll body and created a unique sculpture from there. I made a steel armature and sculpted propoxy over that, finishing with acrylic paint and gloss for the eyes.

Goblins

The Night Goblin Specimen collection began as an exercise in character design and sculpting, exploring different individuals with basic features in common. Made with polymer clay, mounted on mdf, painted in acrylic, and a little gloss coat for the eyes.

A Study in Offcuts

When you’re making a miniature truss bridge, there are dozens of compound miters. Test pieces and mistakes make for a lot of weirdly shaped offcuts, and you have to make a little sculpture out of them.
