Jackalope

This was my contribution to a holiday gift exchange in LAIKA’s model shop. Everyone got a resin-cast baby doll body and created a unique sculpture from there. I made a steel armature and sculpted propoxy over that, finishing with acrylic paint and some gloss for the eyes.

Goblins

The Goblins began as an exercise in character design and sculpting, just exploring different individuals with some basic features in common. All made from polymer clay, mounted on mdf, finished in acrylic paint, with a little gloss coat for the eyes.

A Study in Offcuts

When you’re making a miniature truss bridge, there are dozens of compound miters that you might screw up. You might run some test pieces to make sure you’re angling things in the right direction. Either way, you’re bound to end up with a lot of weirdly shaped offcuts, and you may as well make a little sculpture out of them.
